SANO The Substance Abuse Network of Ontario (SANO) consists of a world wide web presence and a listserv, SANO-L targeted at those working in the field of addiction/health care and the general public. SANO makes a wide range of information related to substance abuse available in electronic format and provides a forum for communication of substance abuse issues.

American Society of Addiction Medicine The goals of the Society are to improve access to care, as well as to increase its quality and effectiveness for patients and their families. Individual members pursue these goals by working through the Society's twelve treatment and clinical issues committees.

National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence Inc provides education, information , help and hope in the fight against the chronic, often fatal disease of alcoholism and other drug addictions .

National Institue of Drug Abuse NIDA has a listing of all drugs of abuse.  Further information about the drugs is available at the NIDA site.
